PADI Open Water® Scuba Diving Course $390/ Person
The PADI Open Water® Scuba Diving Course is the first step towards getting your scuba diving certification. Once you have tried the Discover Scuba Diving Course and have decided that you wish to pursue your your scuba diving instruction, then it’s time to sign up for the PADI Open Water® Scuba Diving Course.
The PADI Open Water® Scuba Diving Course will further your skills as a scuba diver, and once completed will give you a certification that is recognized worldwide. Those who complete and succeed in the The PADI Open Water® Scuba Diving Course will be allowed to dive alongside another diver, without the supervision of a Dive Master.
What does the The PADI Open Water® Scuba Diving Course Involve?
The PADI Open Water® Scuba Diving Course involves classwork (which can be completed online directly through the PADI website or by purchasing the PADI Open Water® Manual) as well as 5 confined water dives and 4 open water dives. Upon successful completion of the course you will:
- Be able to dive alongside a fellow diver, without having a Divemaster present.
- Fill your own air tanks and purchase your own scuba equipment.
- Log your own open water dives (non-decompression dives)
- Continue onto Adventure Diving or other specialized PADI Diving courses.
You can choose to complete the classwork section prior to your arrival in Isla Mujeres. Depending on the length of your stay and weather conditions, you will be able to complete the entire PADI Open Water® Scuba Diving Course during your time on the island. Your confined water dives will consist of learning and practicing the different skills from the PADI course manual, these will take place off the shore of Playa Norte. The open water dives will consist of 4 separate dives to different sites to be determined.
